Seattle Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas (29) crosses the end zone for a touchdown on a fumble recovery in the first half of an NFL football game in New Orleans, Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016. .
Earl Thomas is simply a man. And like every man, sometimes he needs a little love. So the Seattle Seahawks safety gave side judge Alex Kemp a big hug after returning a fumble for a touchdown.
And what did Thomas get in return? A penalty flag.
Look at the indifference with which Kemp throws the flag, hitting the Seahawks with a 15-yard penalty in their game Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Someone give the ref a cup of cocoa to warm his cold, dead heart.
Earl Thomas hugged the ref

Earl Thomas scored a TD, handed the ball to a kid and then hugged the ref. So, of course, he got flagged. 15 yards for hugging!

Don’t worry, Earl. We’re sure there are plenty of fans in Seattle who would love to give you a hug.
